Travel Grants

EANA will award student and early-career travel grants as in previous years. The exact amount will depend on the number of approved applicants, but will be in the order of 300€.

If you would like to apply for a travel grant, in addition to registering for the conference and submitting your abstract via the online form, please send your application together with your abstract to frances.westall (at) cnrs.fr with the subject line "EANA Travel Grant application". Your application must provide the following information:

  • Name and first name
  • Degree status (student or post-doc)
  • Nationality and country of residence
  • A short CV in text form (few lines) highlighting for example your career status, education, university enrollment, main research interests
  • Publication information (number of publications and main publications, or main conference abstracts, if applicable)
  • A short motivation statement why you need travel support
  • Your abstract for the EANA19 conference

You are eligible to apply for this grant if you are a high school/BSc/MSc/PhD student or a post-doc within 7 years of your PhD.

In addition, the Sohan Jheeta Travel bursary of 600€ will be awarded to a student from a developing nation to enable the student to attend the EANA conference in Orléans. More information about Sohan Jheeta Travel bursaries can be found on this website. If you wish to apply for this special travel grant, please indicate this in your letter of motivation. If you are not selected, you will still be considered for the standard EANA travel grant.
